The University of Queensland Boat Club is steeped in history and tradition. It is one of the oldest sporting clubs at the University and has grown to become the University’s most successful club.

The UQ Boat Club has been at the beginning of many great and memorable careers across university, state, national and international levels.

Over the years every member of UQBC has in their own particular way helped shape the character and charm of the club.

In December 2006, the University of Queensland Boat Club Foundation was officially registered with the Australian Government.

The mission of the Foundation is to help foster and provide means for alumni to retain close relationships with the current rowing program, their crewmates and current athletes.

Today, UQBC has become the benchmark of a modern sporting club. With programs ranging from “Learn to row” to “Elite” and “School level” to “Masters”, the strength of UQBC lies in the vision of offering the best possible services and resources to all our members.

The UQBC Foundation is here to support the club achieve these dreams. Some of the most valuable lessons we learn in life are from our experiences on the water. The power of passion, discipline, loyalty, teamwork and friendship are traits every rower can relate to.

The UQBC Foundation is here to help provide these experiences to as many athletes at UQBC as possible, from the social to those with the wonderful dream of Olympic success.
